Project 1: Building a personal assistant for entrepreneurs

Context

Starting your own business is never an easy task. It is even more challenging when you are not doing it in your usual environment... Entrepreneurs needs a countless number of services so that they can organise themselves accordingly and knowledge about local specificities, tax policies, trends and market conditions. The goal of this project is to create a solution that improves the knowledge of entrepreneurs when moving abroad, so that they know how to start their business idea. And we provide them all the tools needed within one single platform in order for them to successfully launch their business.

Target

for whom?

This project is aiming unexperienced entrepreneurs who want to develop and launch their business ideas abroad. Our app will offer them business tips, how to undertake legal procedures, the registration of property rights, all the contacts required for such actions and so on.

Service offered

what? how?

Our service would essentially provide our customers, entrepreneurs, with the knowhow for launching their business abroad. The required knowledge would be provided to the user based on inputs provided by him/her in the form of documents or information uploaded by the user and the solutions would be formulated from our database. Depending on the current situation applicable to our client, an actionable list would be generated for the user to accomplish his/her task quickly and with the least effort.

Project 2: Create a community with TME (Together Moving Entrepreneurs

Context

when? where? who? why?

The web service would at first be used by entrepreneurs seeing a move abroad in the near future (one year approximatively). The entrepreneurs will be advised and helped. But the goal is that the helped ones become afterwards the helpers. It would target french entrepreneurs that are moving to New York. We choose a city because otherwise the subject would be too broad and we would be unable to treat it well. Moreover, New York City is a very dynamic and interesting city for entrepreneurs because of the economical and technological center it represents, many opportunities can be find in this city, if one knows where to look and have connections.

Why such a project? Networking opportunities, provision of office space, all sorts of advises can be obtained by integrating an incubator. However, integrating an incubator can be a challenge! There are indeed a selection process, more or less thorough, but it also comes with a price. Young entrepreneurs do not necessarily have those funds available to invest in the opportunities that offers an incubators. When moving abroad, we know entrepreneurs face a number of challenges and difficulties, but most of all young entrepreneurs without true experience of may feel lost, overwhelmed and may not know how to proceed. This web service is here to help them, to better their experience abroad to our web service.

You are an entrepreneur and you want to go abroad to start a new business, but you are looking for more than just the appointments made in your company to support you? Our web service is made for you. If you are looking for people who have been in the same situation as you, you can ask them all your questions in direct messenger. They can give you administrative tips that your colleagues don't think to tell you. But our community is also the opportunity for you who are looking for tips other than professional to meet your needs. Don't know which neighborhood to avoid? Do you want to know if this apartment is well located in relation to transport? Our community will answer you!

This community will offer you the possibility to share tips and experiences with people who have already met all your questions. It will link multiple people together to help another and improve their moving experience abroad. On their profil, you will be able to find a sum-up of their journey and what they do now.
You will also find different categories to help you in an organized way :

  2. An event section: you can plan your meetings and access fun evenings in the city,
  3. What to visit: go with a member you will have met on our web service,
  4. All about administration: how to obtain a residence permit...,

Most of all, it aims at creating quickly and effortlessly a business network in a new country: meet people, go to events, get in touch with members who lived the same experience of moving abroad as you. You will be able to do activities with other people in the same carreer path as you, such as musuem visit, running in New York City, having afterwork drinks etc. The plateform will also enable you to contact directly profiles that may interest you. Thanks to direct messages all of your questions can be anwser and you can be advise in the best way possible by people that knows the situation you are currently in.

Links and connections are what can change a city to foreign to a hometown, and can offer you a number of opportunities to grow and develop your business!
